Leonardo.Ai is offering up to $50,000 USD in total grant funding to help bring five outstanding creative projects to life with $10,000 each. 

We’re looking all around the world and across every discipline for ideas. We want to support projects that push the boundaries of imagination and showcase the power of AI in the creative process.

Grant winners will have six weeks to complete their projects and must deliver a video documenting their work, along with behind-the-scenes photos and footage.

What types of projects are eligible?

We’re looking for compelling, imaginative ideas from across the world – whether you’re an artist, filmmaker, illustrator, designer or technologist. This kind of project could be, but is not limited to:

  • Short films
  • Photography
  • Sculpture and mixed media
  • Digital or fine art
  • Fashion, architecture or graphic design
  • Interactive creative technology experiences
  • Virtual reality or augmented reality experiences
  • Prototypes and creative experiments

Grant winners will have six weeks to complete their project and will need to deliver a final 2 minute video documenting their work (regardless of the medium) as well as behind-the-scenes photos and videos.

What do grant winners receive?

5 grant recipients will receive:

  • A $10,000 USD share of the total grant pool
  • Leonardo Creator Program memberships for you and your collaborators (free subscription for 12 months + 200,000 tokens)
  • Promotion of your work across Leonardo’s channels and relevant press
  • Technical and creative support from the Leonardo team to help deliver your vision

Who can apply?

  • Creators aged 18+ (or age of contractual capacity in your jurisdiction)
  • Individuals or small teams
  • All creative disciplines welcome, as long as Leonardo is used as a critical part of the workflow
  • We encourage applications from creators from under-represented backgrounds and those with limited access to creative technology
  • At least one grant is reserved for an Australian-based creator or team
  • Exclusions: residents or entities subject to sanctions or export restrictions; jurisdictions where the Program is void or unlawful; Sponsor employees, panelists, and their immediate families/households.

What are you looking for in applications?

  • Originality: a distinctive vision or fresh approach
  • Connection to audience: a work that sparks curiosity and includes a plan to connect with audiences
  • Deliverability: the ability to complete the project within the grant period
  • Use of AI: significant use of AI and Leonardo as part of a broader workflow
  • Creativity: a unique approach to creative storytelling
  • Track record: a proven history of delivering creative projects

What are the key dates?

  • EOIs open: 17th September 2025
  • EOIs close: 17th October 2025
  • Grant winners announced: Late-October 2025
  • Projects delivered: Early December 2025

How do I apply?

Submit your Expression of Interest via our online form here. You’ll be asked for:

  • Your name, contact details, and location (including any relevant team members)
  • A short bio (150 words max)
  • A creative CV
  • Project title & summary (max 300 words)
  • 2 minute pitch video
  • How you plan to use Leonardo in the project
  • Detail on your deliverables
  • Links to portfolio or relevant past work
